Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has agreed to ditch the club and join Inter Milan this summer, according to a report.
News outlet Tuttosport claims the coach who rescued the career of Nigeria international, Victor Moses, from redundancy, wants to return to Italy after suffering from homesickness in London.
Conte has taken the Premier League by storm in his first season in England and looks set to clinch the crown at the first attempt.
However, the 47-year-old is understood to be ready to turn down the chance to lead the Blues into the Champions League in favour of a move to the San Siro.
Conte’s Chelsea contract runs until 2019 and Inter would have to negotiate a big compensation package to recruit the former Italy manager.
Under the ownership of the wealthy Suning Group, money will not be an issue for the Nerazzurri and huge figures are being touted for the move.
Tuttosport suggest a four-year deal worth €15million a year has been struck with Conte and talks are beginning with representatives of Roman Abramovich.
Chelsea might be in control of the Premier League title race, but Antonio Conte is still seeking improvement .
Rumours are swirling that Conte could be handed a £350million transfer war chest to tempt him to join Inter’s ambitious project.
He would be taking over the reins from Stefano Pioli after he was installed as boss following the sacking of Frank De Boer in November.
Chelsea are 10 points clear of Tottenham at the top of the Premier League while Inter lie sixth in Serie A and are six points away from a Champions League spot
