Nigeria international female striker Gift Monday has completed her move to UD Granadilla Tenerife, the Spanish Liga F club revealed at the weekend.
The duration and financial details of the deal have not been disclosed by the Canary Islands outfit.
Monday lists COD United Amazons and Robo Queens among her previous clubs.
The 21-year-old was a member of the Super Falcons squad that reached the semifinals of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, and also represented Nigeria at the 2018 U20 Women’s World Cup.
In her first words as a player of UD Granadilla Tenerife, Monday said: “My first days have been very good, the welcome has been very nice and I am very happy to be here.
“I am a player who makes a team, with a lot of sacrifice. I really want to be able to debut and I’m at the coach’s disposal”.
For the remainder of the 2022-2023 season, Monday will wear the number 24 at the back of her jersey.
