Mountain of Fire and Miracles Football Club has concluded plans to visit Ilorin this weekend, with the flame of fire to destroy the might of ABS Football Club in another Nigerian Professional Football League encounter.
The team, popularly called ‘Olukoya Boys,’ are in top form to silence the Abubakar Bukola Saraki side in front of their teeming fans to contest the leadership position with Plateau United.
MFM FC players are desperately fighting hard not to slip again, after the recent 0-4 deficit from FC Ifeanyiubah. The team is seriously preparing for an outright away win, and the technical crew members are not resting on their oars to break the barrier.
MFM coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, is not comfortable with the 10 points the club is currently having at its position on the table, after three victories, one draw and a loss. “Three points lead is never a joke.
As we are praying to catch-up with the leaders, we should not also slip. We need to win all our matches, if we are really serious about winning the league. It is not over until the last day of the league. It is a battle for all the fans of MFM,” he said.
The Ilorin match will be interesting, as both sides are eyeing the league top position. ABS is in third position with 10 points and Enyimba, also with 10 points in fourth position, while Rivers United occupy the fifth position with 9 points.
Meanwhile, MFM teenage sensation, Adebayo Waheed, has said that he was excited with his first league goal, and promised to do more for his team. MFM FC defeated Kano Pillars 1-0 in last Sunday’s NPFL clash at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium.
The excited 18-year-old forward, who made his first appearance in the Nigerian top flight, appreciated God, MFM FC coaching crew and his teammates.
“I’m so excited to score the goal, I want to do more against ABS and I promise I will do my best for the team and help the team meet its target for the season, as I continue to better my football career,” the Ilorin-born player said.
