MEGHAN Markle is reportedly “ready to forgive” the Royal Family after Prince Philip’s death and “wants to put their differences aside”, according to a friend.
The Duchess is believed to have not returned to the UK with Prince Harry due to medical assessments advising her not to fly.
She also doesn’t want to become the “centre of attention”, it is reported.
But according to a friend, she is ready to “put differences aside” following a royal fallout over Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“She said she left it up to him as to whether or not she would attend the funeral.
“Meghan said it’s during these times when family should come together, put their differences aside and unite as one.”
The friend added she is “willing to forgive and move forward”.
It comes after Prince Harry released a statement in tribute to his grandfather, saying he was a “man of service, honour and great humour”, while calling him the “master of the barbecue” and the “legend of banter”.
The Duke of Sussex thanked the Duke for “always being himself” and for supporting the Queen.
He said that his grandfather will always have a “special place” in the hearts of himself, Meghan, Archie and his “future great-granddaughter”.
He signed the message off “Per Mare, Per Terram”, which means ‘By Sea, By Land’ in Latin and is regularly used in the Royal Marines.
In a message posted on their Archewell website, the couple wrote: “My grandfather was a man of service, honour and great humour.
“He was authentically himself, with a seriously sharp wit, and could hold the attention of any room due to his charm—and also because you never knew what he might say next.
“He will be remembered as the longest reigning consort to the Monarch, a decorated serviceman, a Prince and a Duke.
