Nigeria’s Obafemi Martins has joined his new teammates at Shanghai Greenland Shenhua
Football Club at their training camp in South Korea.

The Nigeria international who left former club, Seattle Sounders, last week for the Asian side, trained with the rest of the squad as they continued preparations for the new campaign.

Already, the Chinese side is banking on the former Inter Milan and Newcastle forward to deliver the goals when hostilities commence.

“Martins arrival at Shenhua will effectively enhance the attack Shenhua in the new season. The club expects him to have excellent performance in the new season, helping the team get better results,” a report welcoming the Nigerian in the club’s official website read in part.

Martins, however, will not have the comfort to wear the same number of jersey he had gotten used to during his time in the Major League Soccer as Senegalese forward, Demba Ba currently enjoys that privilege, thus the Super Eagles forward will now settle for the No. 39 shirt.
