A 26-year-old man has been arraigned before an Apapa, Lagos Magistrate’s Court for alleged stealing and threatening of a motorist with broken bottle.
The accused person, Osi Gabriel Okie and others at large, were said to have committed the offence along the Lagos -Badagry Expressway in the Apapa Magisterial District.
The prosecutor, Inspector Benedict Aigbokhan, told the court that Okie and others now at large, “did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.”
The prosecutor also said that the accused and others now at large “did threaten the life of a motorist with broken bottles at Church bus stop, along the Lagos- Badagry expressway and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 56 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.”
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Joy Ugbomoiko, adjourned the matter for trial of the accused person.
