Aman has been docked for causing pandemonium as he allegedly chased residents with a dagger in the Kirikiri Town area of Lagos State.
The accused person, 25-year-old Chukwudi Felix, was said to have threatened the lives of residents at Coscharis Street as he allegedly chased them about with a dagger.
The police in Lagos arrested and arraigned Felix before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court for allegedly threatening violence.
The prosecutor, Inspector Edet Ekpo, who preferred a three-count charge against the accused person, said Felix and others at large “did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit threatening violence and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
Inspector Ekpo also said that Felix “did threatened with violence one Nwosu Obinna ‘m’ and Nwosu Obinna Christopher by chasing them around the street with a dagger and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 561 (a,b) (2) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria,
2015.”
The police further said that the accused person and others “did conduct yourselves in a disorderly manner which threw the residents into pandemonium by chasing them around the street with a dagger and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 168 (1) (d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. N.A. Layeni, granted the accused man bail in the sum of N50, 000.00 with one surety, who must be a
clergyman.
The magistrate adjourned the case till August 22,
2018.
