A middle-aged man, Izu Madubueze, has allegedly committed suicide, following an accusation launched at him by a social media influencer on Twitter.
He was accused of rape by the influencer, named Nanichi Anese, who published his name, among others.
Izu had reportedly reached out to Nani to enquire about the indentity of the victim of rape, but the latter had allegedly claimed that the accuser preferred to remain anonymous.
The deceased, according to findings, left a note of apology before committing suicide, noting that he did not know what he did wrong to warrant the allegation against him.
“Oh and if you’re reading this, I’m dead lol,” he said in his last tweet on Friday, July 17.
Meanwhile, Nani has deactivated her account after Izu’s suicide was made public.
Older chats from Izu’s phone allegedly showed that Nani had asked him out but he declined.
