Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club head coach, Henry Makinwa, is seriously thinking about how his wards will overwhelm visiting Rangers International of Enugu on Sunday in Ilorin.
The ABS chief strategist has been having a running battle with the club management after he was given a three-match ultimatum to perform or tender his resignation for poor showing.
But Makinwa is determined to subdue Rangers after forcing Rivers United to a barren draw recently in front of their teeming fans.
ABS aggressive fans, who went home disappointed, asked the club management to force the entire technical crew out and hire fresh coaches for positive results in the remaining matches in the league.
Meanwhile, Makinwa is not moved by the three-match ultimatum as he is working underground to effect changes in his team ahead of the Rangers’ outing.
The ex-international-turned coach is confident that Rangers will never pose a threat to their ambition of emerging victorious on Sunday.
“I know my worth and I accept the ultimatum in good faith because I work with young boys in the team,” Makinwa said. “It has not been an easy season for us. We have proved our worth in the first half of the season, but the second half has been a bit rough for us.
“The three-match ultimatum does not disturb me. We will come out on Sunday to play good football. I am not going to set up my team to play defensive football. We know the risk involved. We are not happy with our form but we must remain focused and forge ahead,” he said.
