Makinde constitutes committee for coronation of new Olubadan

Ahead of the July 12 coronation of Oba Owolabi Olakuleyin as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has set up a committee for the event.

The committee which has the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ademola Ojo as head also has the state’s Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade as a member.

Other cabinet members in the committee include the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatunbosun; as well as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Mrs. Toyin Balogun.

Also on committee are the son of the incoming Olubadan, Prince Folaseke Owolabi Olakulehin, Onikepo Akande, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, Chief Hazeem Gbolarumi, Toye Arulogun, Bishop Ademola Moradeyo, CP Sunday Odukoya (Rtd.), Mogaji Abduljeleel Adanla and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ramota Agberemi-Dabo.

Last week, Governor Makinde approved the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the new Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin.

The ceremony is scheduled to be held on Friday, July 12, 2024.
