The Centre for Anti- Corruption and Open Leadership, (CACOL) has commended the administration of the outgoing Governor of Lagos State , Mr Akinwunmi Ambode describing it as the next to the administration of Alhaji Lateef Jakande between 1979 and 1983.

Speaking at the launching of the 5th edition of the Lagos Open Parliament in Lagos, the Executive Chairman of CACOL, Mr. Debo Adeniran said Ambode’s administration has achieved good performances in the provision of basic infrastructure in the state in the last one year.
Adeniran bemoaned a situation where Ambode whose good  performance in office have been openly acknowledged by Lagosians was denied a second term in office because of what many have attributed to his mis- management of party politics with diverse power constituents in Lagos State, especially with his God- father.
He maintained that despite  ” this sad development, Ambode remains the most performing Governor , not only in the history of Lagos State after Governor Lateef Kayode Jakande (1979- 1983) but throughout the whole federation”.
” The achievements of infrastructural revolution in different sectors of the socio- economic realm of the state is tremendously mindboggling as well as rehashed even now as the assessment goes on .
“Only a few days ago, new frontiers were opened in the water transport system of the state with modern ferries’ arrival for ease of chronic transportation problem in the state.
” The road transportation system continues to undergo facelift while the Metroline Railway System is being revitalized “, Adeniran said.
The Lagos Open Parliament is a publication of CACOL and it contains a series of assessment of successive administrations in Lagos by citizens by looking at performance in relations to its campaign promises to the people by different appraisal mechanisms like vox pop, media clips et cetra.
