Lagos receives COVID-19 vaccines

LAGOS State has received doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has confirmed.

The vaccines arrived the state at about 4pm on Tuesday, he said.

He disclosed the arrival of the vaccines while speaking at the 2021 International Women’s Day celebration, organised by the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

The vaccines, according to him, have been kept in a safe place.

Recall that the Ogun State Government, on Monday, said it received 50,000 out of 100,000 expected doses of COVID -19 vaccines.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, while announcing the arrival of the vaccines, noted that the remaining 50,000 doses would arrive the state later in the night.
