The Lagos State Police Command has declared two men, Jamiu Hamzat and Kazeem Owolabi, wanted over alleged gay activities.

A report by the Ebute-Metta Police Division indicated that the said accused persons were paraded last year following some reports on their activities in newspaper publications of December 5, 2018.

The two were charged to court but granted bail pending the conclusion of their trial.

However, investigation revealed that the accused persons jumped bail and left the country to seek asylum in a foreign country.

A police report accused one Miss Adeola Hamzat, Jamiu’s sister and his mother, Mrs. Mujidat, for aiding and abetting homosexuality.

It was learnt that the activities of the two accused persons were first reported to the police by a neighbour called Mr. Ayomide Oluremi in May 2018.

The police had since issued a search warrant to Hamzat’s family house at Ebute-Metta in Lagos but the accused persons were said to be nowhere to be found during the search.

Further investigations revealed that the mother of the accused person, who is currently at large, had secured a travelling visa for her son and his friend through an agent.
