Burkina Faso international Issa Kabore is in ‘Cloud 9’ as he wrote his name in gold in his country’s football history after winning the Community Shield title with Manchester City at the weekend.
The 23-year-old right-back was in the Cityzens match squad and had the opportunity to secure a winners’ medal as he lifted the first trophy of his young career at Wembley.
With that triumph, Issa Kabore is now the first-ever Burkina Faso player to win the Community Shield.
He has one year remaining in his current contract with the Etihad-based outfit and is likely to leave the club this summer.
