A top chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and founder, DAAR Communications Plc, Raymond Dokpesi, is dead.
Dokpesi, who was a close ally of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, was said to have died after a brief illness at the age of 71.
A top staff of AIT confirmed his death to The Point on Monday.
A family member of the deceased also confirmed that he died at a hospital in Abuja.
The media mogul was said to have suffered a stroke shortly after the last Ramadan.
Dokpesi founded the African Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower FM and was the Deputy Director-General of technical and systems of Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential Campaign Council.
