The Police in Ondo State have arrested a 43-year old man identified simply as Ajagba Joseph for allegedly shooting his friend for dating his concubine.
The police command in a statement in its verified X handle on Wednesday said Joseph committed the act on August 23, 2024.
Joseph, a married man, was said to have visited his girlfriend at her house but was jealous after seeing another man at her apartment.
He was said to have run out of the place, fetched his single barrel gun and shot the victim whom he accused of having affairs with his girlfriend.
The statement added that the victim who survived death is recuperating in the hospital.
The police said the suspect would soon be charged to court after completion of investigation.
The statement which was accompanied with a picture of the suspect read, “This married man, Mr Ajagba Joseph, aged 43 on 23rd of August went to his concubine’s house and met a co-concubine, he became angry and shot the other concubine with his single barrel gun. Victim recuperating. Suspect in custody and will soon be charged to court.”
