Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi is in desperate mood to survive the expected onslaught of Rivers United Football Club on Sunday.
Wikki’s General Manager, Auwalu Baba Jada, has said that he was battle ready to secure the maximum points at stake during the all-important match in Port Harcourt.
The club has yet to recover from the shock defeat from the Mountain of Fire and Miracles in Agege recently.
The Bauchi side is aspiring to end the league on a respectable note so as to have the opportunity to represent Nigeria on the continent.
Last season, under Coach Abdu Maikaba, Wikki were probably the most tactically astute and composed side when playing away from home.
But the fans have not seen all these qualities replicated in the team this season as they have been struggling to survive the test of times.
Jada came into the team few months after Coach Baba Ganuru led Wikki out without making impact.
“It is going to be a tough match and we are not ready to surrender no matter the pressure and the aggressiveness of the home team. My boys are equal to the task and we will continue to fight to the end. It is going to be no retreat, no surrender,” Jada said.
