Super Eagles captain and CSKA forward, Ahmed Musa says it’s a painful experience not scoring goals, week in, week out as a striker. The Nigeria international is currently undergoing goal drought for both country and Russian side, CSKA Moscow after scoring no goals in 12 consecutive games.
The former Kano Pillars ace was last among the goals in CSKA’s 2-0 away win over Dinamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League tie in early October.
On the international scene, Ahmed has failed score in Nigeria’s friendly matches against Congo, Cameroon and against Swaziland in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
“I am no longer a scorer; it’s a pretty painful subject. I have nothing to say. Myself, it’s a shame that so many matches, I cannot score.
“But it’s not that I do not want to score or go all out on the field. I am doing everything possible,” Musa told CSKA Moscow’s official website during the week.
