The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun of the ruling All Progressives Congress as the winner of the state’s governorship election.
This was announced on Sunday by the commission’s Returning officer in the state, Professor Kayode Adebowale, Vice Chancellor University of Ibadan.
Abiodun of the APC, emerged victorious as he scored 276,298 votes while the PDP’s Oladipupo Adebutu scored 262,383.
In the 20 local governments of the state, Abiodun won with a total of 12 out of the 19 local governments announced.
