The people of two oil-bearing communities in Ohaji\Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, Oloshi and Obuoma-Dike autonomous communities, have decried the poor electricity supply, deplorable state of roads, erosion and restiveness affecting the area.
Describing the situation as unbearable, the Chairman of Oloshi\Obuoma-Dike Consultative Assembly, Hon. Iyala Iyala, said these problems should be blamed for the environmental degradation suffered in the zone.
Iyala stated this in his address during a reception in honour of the reappointed Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Kingsley Chima Uju, who also doubles as the Chairman, Bureau of Lands and Survey.
He stressed that the two neighbouring communities had been experiencing youth restiveness, erosion menace, bad roads, poor electricity power supply, resulting in the collapse of development projects awarded by the present administration.
