The National Emergency Management Agency, has reported that the gas leakage in Ikeja, for which it raised an alarm earlier in the day, has been brought under control.
The agency said people could now go about their normal activities.
It, however, said “traffic diversion around the areas are still in force.”
The agency had earlier in the day raised the alarm over a reported gas leakage in Ikeja area as a result of a ruptured gas pipeline.
It has warned residents and traders to be wary of igniting fire and actually advised that shops be not opened.
It had listed the areas concerned to include Computer Village, Anifowose Street, Underbridge Awolowo Way, Oba Akran and Medical Road in a statement by its spokesman in Lagos, Ibrahim Farinloye.
