Akwa United’s hard tackling defender, Godspower Igudia, is looking forward to playing in the CAF Confederations Cup next year if the Promise Keepers conquer Lobi Stars in the finals of the Federation Cup.

The Delta born defence ace, who is spending his second season with the Uyo outfit, told The Point that only an outright win against the Benue side would be good enough for the team.

He said, “I’m really excited that I was part of the team that took Akwa to the finals of the Federations Cup. However, my joy will not be complete without holding the trophy at the end of the match.

“I’m going to continue putting my best in training and in our remaining matches in the Glo Premier League. Hopefully, in the long run, I hope to play for Akwa in the CAF Confederations Cup come next season.”

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation had not disclosed the date for the final of the Federation Cup at press time.
