The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has approved the appointment of Lanre Bankole Sikiru, as the new commissioner of police for the Ogun State police command.
Sikiru’s redeployment to Ogun command followed the retirement of Edward Awolowo Ajogun, who clocked 60 years on Thursday.
According to a police wireless message dated DTO: 060930/10/2021, from the Force Headquarters, Abuja, Sikiru was directed to report to Ogun State with immediate effect.
The police wireless message with reference number: TH.5361/FS/FHQ/ABJ/V.7/725, read: “INGENPOL (Inspector General of Police) has ordered the posting of COMPOL Lanre Bankole Sikiru to CP OGS. Posting is with immediate effect please.”
