Former Liverpool of England player, Jordon Ibe, is seriously considering an option to switch allegiance to Nigeria.
Ibe, born in England by Nigerian parents, has been reported to be considering to play international football for Nigeria after initially waiting for England to cap him.
According to the UK Mirror, the 20-year-old AFC Bournemouth winger is ready to listen to the Nigerian offer about their plans for his international future.
The Mirror quoted a source close to the Nigeria Football Federation saying that it is hoped that the former Liverpool man finds it “enticing” to play for Nigeria at senior level despite being an England youth international.
“Jordon is willing to listen to what we have to offer.
“We are hoping he finds the project enticing enough to dump England where he is a youth international and play for Nigeria at senior level,” the NFF source was quoted in the British newspaper as saying.
Last year in September, former Nigeria head coach, Sunday Oliseh, had revealed that he was informed by Ibe’s family that the winger had made England a priority
Ibe has made more than 10 appearances England from under-18 to under-21 levels.
