Nollywood actress, Shirley Igwe, is one personality who takes her looks very seriously. She believes that one is defined by one’s style or fashion.
Therefore, the former protocol officer to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, says she likes to look trendy but comfortable in whatever she puts on. And this, she says, she can’t compromise.
According to her, “Your style is you. You are defined by your style. So, that should be your business, so to speak. For me, I dress to suit my body. I do not really care about what people wear. If you choose to go skimpy, it’s your life, but don’t forget who you are. I do online research and shopping for exclusive designs.”
The actress, who has an interesting daily routine, also shares five intimate things about herself.
“My bra cup is 42c. I shower three times a day and I brush after a meal. That’s the much I can say,” Igwe says.
For the former Delta Soup Queen, interpreting roles very well is key. It doesn’t matter to her if the scene is sexual or not. But if she decides to take the role, she must be thorough about it.

“If you’re going to do a sex scene, do it well, don’t do it half-baked, because it’s going to annoy the audience. If you’re going to strip, strip. If you’re not going to strip, don’t. I can act as a stripper, but one thing I wouldn’t do is to go nude,” she explains.
Transiting from modeling to acting was without a challenge for the Mass Communication graduate recalling her first experience in Nollywood, the actress states, “My first movie role, I was called and asked to read and after the audition, I was called back. I think that was Ikechukwu Onyeka. It was just my appearance and my speech doing it for me. Until today, that’s how I get called for roles.”
Prior to her stint in politics, she left the industry to train as cabin executive at Cranfield Aviation School in South Africa. After her training, she worked with a private airline before returning to Nollywood.
