Nigeria’s long jump star Ese Brume explained injuries hinded her from performing at a high level in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The 28-year-old who won bronze medal in Tokyo was expected to raise high the Nigerian flag again in Paris.
Unfortunately, she only finished fifth in France and her disappointment was mind boggling.
“To be honest, it was an amazing experience for me,” Brume told reporters.
“Looking back to where I’m coming from, I didn’t compete much this year because of injuries.
“Even up to today, I also competed with an injury, but I’m glad that I made it this far. I’m happy with myself and thankful to God.”
