The Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Area council of Ondo State, Mr. Larry Ogunmusire, has said that he did not allow the empty treasury he inherited to hamper his administration of the grassroots.
Ogunmusire disclosed this while speaking with our correspondent in Okitipupa, the council headquarters, on his hundred days in office.
The council boss lamented that the current economic recession, resulting in cash crunch and the industrial actions by the labour unions, had made his stay in office in the past 100 days tasking.
He, however, added that he was able to source for funds with which he recorded some achievements through the council’s Internally Generated Revenue and the stipends received from the state government.
“The economic recession, cash crunch and industrial action made my work to be challenging and tasking in the last 100 days in office.
“Although, I met N40,000 when I resumed, I was able to record some achievements through aggressive IGR and support from the state government,” Ogunmusire said.
