Motorists are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
A road accident involving an articulated truck that overturned and spilt its contents at the Otedola Bridge’s Tollgate-bound tip has caused significant traffic congestion.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 1pm on Tuesday, has blocked roughly 80 per cent of the roadway, leading to heavy traffic extending towards Kara.
Authorities were seen working to quickly remove the vehicle and clear the obstruction.
Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority are on-site managing the situation.
LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, urged road users to be patient and cooperate with officials, stating, “Cooperation is needed from road users.”
