Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, alongside members of the State Executive Council have received the winner of the Big Brother’s show, Hazel Onyeze-Onou, popularly known as White Money in the state.
White Money was received at the State Executive Council Chambers, Centenary City, Abakaliki recently during his visit for a show.
On the occasion, White Money lauded Umahi’s efforts in transforming the state in the area of infrastructural and urged the media to increase efforts in showcasing the administration’s scorecard to the world.
The governor commended White Money for maintaining decorum during his stay in the Big Brother house, attributing his victory to hard work and humility.
Earlier, the SEC received report of a partnership proposal with SYNLAB Limited on the establishment of a chemical pathology, hematology, blood bank and microbiology outfit at the King David’s University.
“Exco received a report on partnership proposal between the Ebonyi State Government and SYNLAB Limited, whereof there will be a PPP ownership of chemical pathology, hematology, blood bank, micro biology etc. to be established in King David’s University of Medical Sciences, Uburu by Synlab Limited.
“Under the proposal, the state government shall be entitled to 10 per cent of the gross profit to be made by the company subject to upward review of 15per cent after three years. Exco approved the partnership arrangement and applauded the governor for his efforts in building capacities for the university through private sector initiatives,” he said.
