Senator – elect, Governor Kashim Shettima and other senators-elect on Thursday received their certificates of return as elected senators at the Africa Hall of the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja.
Chaired by the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, in a ceremony, the senators-elect received and signed for their certificates of return from designated INEC officials.
Governor Shettima’s certificate was presented to him by INEC National Commissioner AVM Tijjani Mu’azu (rtd).
After the ceremony, the Governor then hosted the other Senators-elect as well as Members of the House of Representatives – elect from Borno State.
