National telecoms operator, Globacom, has moved to address a common problem usually encountered by phone users whose lines get disconnected after 90 days as a result of inactivity.

In a statement issued in Lagos, the company said, “With Glo’s Always On, subscribers’ lines can stay active for 365 days, even, without usage.”

The company also said it was to bring relief to the category of subscribers
who may for one reason or the other not be able to use their telephone
line(s) that they announced the introduction of the package, a new
prepaid tariff which allows subscribers to retain their phone numbers for one full year even if they didn’t use the lines during the period.

Globacom said its subscribers no longer needed to worry about their lines getting suspended or disconnected even if they have not made or
received calls, used data or sent or received SMS over a-one-year period.

However, the package would attract a token payment of N500, “the
customer will enjoy the assurance of 365 days of continued service, even if the customer does not make or receive calls, text or browse,”
Globacom said, adding that the package would be available to all
existing and new prepaid Glo subscribers.
