The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the 2016 edition of GLO-CAF Awards will hold on Thursday, January 5, 2017.
CAF with major backing from Nigerian telecom company, Globacom will hold an annual ceremony where the African Player of the Year winner would be announced.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won the African Player of the Year at the last award.
The awards will also hold at the International Conference Centre, (ICC), in Abuja which hosted the previous edition.
This is the third time Abuja will be hosting the awards following the maiden edition in 2005 and 2015 edition.
Accra, Lome, Lagos and Cairo are the other cities that have hosted the awards.
17 winners will be announced on the night from different categories, which include African Player of The Year (Based in Africa), National Team of The Year, Club of The Year and Coach of The Year.
