The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has commiserated with the Igbo nation over the death of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, George Obiozor.
Gbajabiamila, who expressed sadness over the passing of the elder statesman, said the late Prof Obiozor was a role model to many.
He said he received the news of Chief Obiozor’s death with shock, praying to God to repose his soul.
Gbajabiamila sent heartfelt condolences to all Igbo sons and daughters and indeed all Nigerians around the world over the painful loss.
The speaker also prayed to God to give his family and the entire Igbo people the fortitude to bear the loss.
