The Federal Road Safety Corps, Osun State Command, on Friday, said that no fewer than 390 road traffic offenders were arrested in April for various traffic offences.

The Sector Commander, Paul Okpe, made the disclosure in a statement made available to journalists in Osogbo by the Command’s spokesperson, Agnes Ogungbemi.

It quoted Okpe as saying that 390 road users were arrested by FRSC personnel who were on special duties for violating various traffic regulations.

According to it, the Command rescued 10 accident victims while 10 others sustained severe injuries.

“Our men were able to rescue 10 persons in the month of April from accidents which could have claimed their lives.

“We shall continue to intensify our safety advocacy policies through promulgation of safety messages to road users,“ it read.

The statement urged road users to obey traffic regulations, adding that the Command would arrest and prosecute violators.
