UNKNOWN gunmen, on Tuesday morning, attacked Iwollo Oghe Police station, in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, reportedly killing about five persons, including police operatives.
The hoodlums, it was learnt, also set the police station ablaze, including vehicles and other properties in the premises.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the incident but had yet to issue an official statement.
He said the Command would issue a statement after an on-the-spot assessment of damages and casualties by the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Aliyu.
