Bauchi State Governor, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar, has challenged the Nigeria Labour Congress to fish out ghost workers from the nation’s workforce.
Governor Abubakar said that doing so would ensure stable and constant payment of workers’ salaries nationwide.
The governor stated this when he received a delegation of the National Executive Council of the NLC in his office at the Government House.
He urged the labour leaders to assist government at all levels to fight corruption and the menace of ghost workers in all tiers of government, adding that this could only be achieved by supporting the on-going worker’s verification exercise in Bauchi State and the other parts of the country
