THE Federal Executive Council has approved the National Poverty Reduction with Growth Strategy, designed by the Presidential Economic Advisory Council.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is to head the steering Committee of the NPRGS and provide overall guidance for its implementation.
Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, disclosed this to State House Correspondents on Wednesday.
Adesina said FEC also approved the implementation of the Strategy and its incorporation into the Medium Term National Development Plan 2021-2025 and Agenda 2050.
To make the implementation sustainable, FEC also directed the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to prepare a bill for submission to the National Assembly, Adesina revealed.
