
Latest report by the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics has revealed that governors from the 36 states of the federation and the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nyesom Wike, generated N75.42billion from self-employed Nigerians in 2023.
The report showed that Lagos has the highest tax generation in the year under review with the sum of N33.39billion.
The nation’s commercial nerve centre is closely followed by the FCT with the sum of N2.87billion.
Sokoto came last on the list by garnering N16.02million in 2023.
