The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed recent reports of eviction of its officers from the Falomo Barracks, as the force said the affected personnel were given adequate notice, provided relocation assistance, and compensated with ₦2m each to secure alternative accommodation.

Addressing a news conference in Abuja, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the affected personnel will receive monthly rent allowances in line with provisions for officers not residing in the barracks, and upon completion of the new facility, the officers will be allotted housing units to ensure a seamless transition back to improved living conditions.

The Force PRO while urging the public to disregard the false narratives regarding the reconstruction, said the rebuilding of Falomo Barracks reflects the unwavering resolve of the NPF to provide safe, decent housing for officers, a vision that aligns with global standards and safeguards the future of those who serve.
