The new Ogun State Head of Service, Kolawole Fagbohun, has tasked management of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government in the state to work towards achieving a more robust working relationship, to enable the present administration to realise its goals.
Fagbohun said this at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, when the management staff of the Ministry of Health, Hospitals Management Board, Ogun State Primary Health Care Development Board, Ogun State Health Insurance Agency among others paid him a visit.
The Head of Service noted that his office is open to civil servants to cross-fertilise ideas on ways to be at best on their jobs, saying he believes in the potentials of the workforce and is passionate about the health system.
He called on personnel in the health sector to be courteous and ready to serve.
According to him, “When things are not going well in the service, the first person the Governor will call is the HoS. You can be sure I am with you. So, the office of the Head of Service is open, I am accessible, and ready to help. As you are doing your work, let me know if there is any challenge. We should help the state government in realising its objectives in bringing health services to all the nooks and crannies of the State.”
Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Kayode Oladehinde, congratulated the Head of Service on his appointment, and assured him that they would redouble their efforts in the implementation of government’s policies and programmes.
The Head of Service also played host to the management staff of the State Agro-Services, Asero, led by the acting General Manager, Lanre Adeyinka, calling on them to work hard and reach out to more farmers with incentives that would enhance their farm produce and promote mechanisation.
Fagbohun advised them to make all terms and conditions open to farmers, urging them to be transparent in their dealings.
