Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, arrived in Lagos on Tuesday.
This is Zuckerberg’s first visit to sub-Saharan Africa.
The Facebook founder, who was at the Co-Creation Hub in Yaba on Tuesday evening, disclosed that the purpose of his visit to Nigeria was to learn about the startup ecosystem in the country.
In a post on his Facebook page, Zuckerberg said, “I am learning about the startup ecosystem in Nigeria. The energy here is amazing and I’m excited to learn as much as I can.
“Our first stop is the Co-creation Hub Nigeria (CcHUB) in Yaba. I got to talk to kids at a summer coding camp and entrepreneurs who come to CcHub to build and launch their apps.”
