Ex-LASIMRA boss dies from COVID-19 complications at 53

A former General Manager of the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency, Jide Odekunle, is dead.

Odekunle, who served in the administration of former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, died at the Onikan Isolation Centre, Lagos, where he was being treated for COVID-19, on Saturday.

He was aged 53.

Odekunle, who was until his death, the Bobagunwa of Egbaland, was a 1989 Computer Science graduate of the University of Ibadan.

He had a distinguished career in sales and marketing and held senior management positions in several multinationals, including Schlumberger, Omnes, GS Telecom, and Nera Microwave, among others.
