Nigerian singer, Elias Sunday Ogbu, aka Ellyman, has released a new single, ‘Got the Money.’ Speaking with The Point, Ellyman explained that the song was one of the tracks off his upcoming album.
He added that he had been in the studio working and waiting for the right time. Ellyman, who is now signed to IMO Records, is an indigene of Benue State, and has been on the music scene for over 19 years.
He narrated, “I was influenced by my mother, who led the choir in the church at a time. I started music by playing the conga drums. My mother would sing and I would play the drums. I grew up listening to the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and many other great sounds.
“I am a versatile artiste and want to make a difference in the music industry. I have many songs with good lyrics. I and my team are ready to give lovers of good music what they want.”
Apart from the audio, ‘Got the Money’ also has a video, which was shot by Unlimited LA.
