The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibadan Zonal Command, on Friday, arrested 12 suspected internet fraudsters at Alapata and Awotan areas of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The suspects are Adetola Francis, Yusuf Opeyemi, Usman Abudulahi, Usman Shehu, Ogunleye Paul, Omobowa Israel, Owoade Elijah and Kamorudeen Akano.
Others are Adeboye Ayodeji, Ojekunle Micheal, Adewole Adewunmi and Adetola Abidemi.
The suspects, who claimed to be undergraduates, were arrested following intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related crimes.
At the point of their arrests, fraudulent documents and instruments allegedly used in committing crimes were recovered from them.
The recovered items included a Toyota Corolla, moblie phones and laptops.
Wilson Uwujaren, Head, Media and Publicity, said that they would be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded on their matters.
