ALL Education Secretaries in Ebonyi State have been compelled to embark on compulsory leave with immediate effect.
Chairman, Universal Basic Education Board in the state, Hyacinth Ikpor, made this known in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Abakaliki.
Ikpor, who did not indicate the reasons for the directive, also directed the affected people to hand over all official documents and properties in their possession to the Heads of personnel management of their various local education authorities.
He advised them to comply with the directive immediately.
“All the Education Secretaries of the 13 Local Government Education Authority in Ebonyi State are hereby directed to proceed on compulsory leave with immediate effect,” he said in the statement.
“They are also directed to hand over all official documents and property in their possession to the Heads of Personal Management (HPM) of their respective Local Education Authority. Immediate compliance is advised,” the Chairman added.
