THE Department of State Services, on Thursday, confirmed that the home of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho, was raided by a team of joint security operatives.

The DSS said the operation was initiated, based on intelligence that Igboho was stockpiling arms with a bid to causing unrest.

Spokesperson for DSS, Peter Afunanya, disclosed this to journalists.

According to him, six of Igboho’s boys attacked the security operatives who approached the house and engaged them in a gun battle.

Two of the Yoruba Nation agitator’s boys were killed while an operative sustained injuries, Afunanya noted, adding that Igboho escaped during the gun battle.

He added that Igboho was on the run but that the law would catch up with him, urging him to turn himself in to security agencies peacefully.
