Different strokes for different folks, they say. And regarding the controversial Big Brother Naija, this is quite true. While some people love it, others hate it. Love it or hate it though, its owners are achieving what they want with it; so the show will stay for now.
Probably the main selling point of the show is sex. The lovers of the show stay tuned to it because they want to know which of the housemates will have sex and how they will go about it.
And the ongoing edition tagged “Double Wahala” is no different. The first two housemates to kiss in it were Nina and Miracle, and they were also alleged to be the first to have sex.
Right now, two other housemates, Teddy A and Bam Bam have stirred up a storm as they were alleged to have had sex in the toilet. And their copulation came after Teddy A said he wouldn’t have sex in the house. But Miracle claimed all of them had had sex.
And as people are condemning their copulation, Don Jazzy, who promotes sex in the songs and music videos of some of his artistes, has come out to say that people should stop condemning sex in Big Brother as the housemates are adults.
According to him, “I’m not even judging. Body no be firewood oh. You never use toilet before, cast the first stone.”
But while Jazzy sees nothing wrong in the casual sex in BB Naija, Reno Omokri, a social commentator, blamed the western world for the development, saying Nigerians mustn’t copy everything from the West.
“When I was a child, only animals had intercourse in the open for all to see. Now, I’m an adult; Nigerians call people, who publicly have intercourse in a toilet, stars! If they are stars, it must be very dark over Nigeria! We have a culture. Not everything from the West is good,” he said.
