- Says PDP, APC are no credible alternatives
The National Action Council has said that it refused to join in the coalition that led to the birth of Coalition of United Political Parties because “it is an unholy alliance that cannot stand the test of time.”
Speaking with The Point, the National Chairman of NAC, Dr. Olapade Agoro, said those who joined the Peoples Democratic Party to form the coalition had joined forces with a non- progressive party.
“People have been asking whether we are going to join the CUPP but my answer had been that propelling forces cannot join the repelling forces. PDP, to me, is anti-progressive. PDP, to me, has nothing to offer. A party that was in government for 16 years and failed Nigerians, is not such that we can join in an alliance.”
” We don’t have any business with PDP. Those who joined the PDP in an alliance have made big mistakes. How can you marry a cat with a lion? When I unmask the masquerade this week, people will know where we belong to. NAC needs no alliance with any party and we are not going into any coalition.
“The APC too is not a better alternative. APC, as far as we in the NAC are concerned, is a cacophony of horror. It is a package of bandwagon effect of evil.
“There will be a surprise in few days’ time as NAC will unfold its next line of action “, Agoro said.
He described the Muhammadu Buhari administration as a total failure, saying as far as he was concerned, Buhari should by now be packing his bags for a return trip to Daura, his home-town.
“Buhari has nothing to offer. His administration has been a recurring decimal of failure in the last three years .If Nigeria cannot generate enough energy for the use of the citizenry, then what is Buhari still doing in governance Nigeria has suffered another power problem as a powerline collapsed last week .Putting Mr. Raji Fashola to manage three ministries is a deliberate plan to make him fail.
” At this stage of development, we are still using power generating set .It is as bad as that. We cannot propel our economy beyond being powered by gasoline generating set. You can see we are in trouble,”
Agoro lamented.
