The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted bail to the suspended Dean of Faculty of Law, University of Calabar, Cyril Ndifon in the sum of N250 million and on self-recognition of his counsel, Okon Efut a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Although the bail application filed by Ndifon was not ripe for hearing, Justice Kolawole Omotosho granted him bail for two weeks to enable him to undergo an optical surgery.
The tentative bail is from January 10 to January 25, 2024.
Ndifon and his counsel are to deposit their travel documents with the court.
The court will continue hearing on the matter on January 26, 2024.
