There was confusion on Monday when a young man whose identity was unknown died while travelling on a commercial bus.
It was gathered that the deceased boarded a bus in Enugu State and was traveling to Anambra State.
Sources told The Point that the young man who sat at the last seat of the bus had appeared strong when the bus left the park at about 2:00pm on Tuesday.
They said he had joined in a discussion inside the bus about Biafra and had expressed hope that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu would be set free.
However, he suddenly became silent and died.
He was discovered dead after he rested his body on another passenger and was not responding to comments from the fellow passenger.
“Yesterday afternoon, a bus left Enugu State to Anambra State. Passengers were inside the vehicle. Some people were answering calls and others telling stories. The young man was among those telling sweet stories about the creation of Biafra.
“He was overheard saying that Nnamdi Kanu name would remain in the sands of time. He boasted that at least he would be given appointment on his side.
“He further said that he would trek from Onitsha to Enugu State in celebration of the creation of the new Country.
“At a point, he fell asleep and nobody heard his voice again. All presumed he had fallen asleep considering the nature of the road.
“Unfortunately, before he could reach his destination, he was found dead and his mouth gushing with saliva and blood.
“From every indication, he had no Identity Card and no information about him could say anything about his relations or state,” a resident of Enugu, Chijinkem Ugwuanyi said.
